Categories:
VAP, CRC
Clock Hours/Domains:

Description:
What is the significance of enlisting the support and involvement of others -- in particular, family members -- in the rehabilitation counseling process? This course emphasizes family support of adults and examines why involvement of family members may be important in the rehabilitation process. Family support may be most visible during acute phases of an illness or in chronic illnesses resulting in disability. Involvement might include identifying the individual’s strengths, making explicit cultural nuances impacting family-based decision-making in setting goals, and acknowledging stresses associated with caregiving. Use the Code of Ethics to guide your decisions about the appropriate way to work with support networks. Earn 2 CRCC pre-approved CRC CE clock hours in Ethics or 2 general hours toward CVE renewal.
